Kush Productions is an independent film, television, and web series company based in Toronto. Since 2009, our team of writers, creators, producers, and directors has been working on content to engage audiences worldwide with compelling, thought-provoking, and stellar content.
While we specialize in films targeting the South Asian diaspora, our projects have a much larger demographic that audiences from every background can relate to.

A 13-year-old American boy is recruited by terrorists to bomb a U.S. embassy in Delhi. After being brainwashed he is sent to live with a Muslim family prior to the attack. However, the man harboring him begins to play a dangerous game when he attempts to convince the boy not to go through with the bombing.

MEET THE TEAM
MANINDER CHANA
DIRECTOR/WRITER
Maninder Chana is a critically acclaimed,award-winning writer and director. His action heist film Scratch won 30 international awards, including 11 for Best Film and 4 for Best Director.
Maninder’s four-language feature Little Terrors, starring Bollywood legend Om Puri (Gandhi, The Hundred-Foot Journey) was released theatrically to rave reviews and won Best Film and Best Director awards at festivals. His supernatural thriller Cell 213, also had a theatrical release. The film stars Eric Belfour (Skyline), Michael Rooker (Walking Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy) and Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek).
His action feature Hit Kick Punch Kill is currently in development with Electric Panda (The Kindergarten Teacher, Oscar-winner Skin) with key talent from The Raid, Warrior and Snowpiercer attached.
JAG DHALIWAL
PRODUCER
Jag Dhaliwal’s film career started in 2010, and includes writer, director, actor, and producer roles. His credits include Tabdeeli (Change), sketch parodies: Campaign, 2008 VS 2018 “Indian Dads” , and 2008 VS 2018 “Punjabi Parties”.
Solitary (IKALA) Short Film - Winner of Forty three International awards and selected for over Fifty festivals.
Jag has co-created and produced two series which are in development.
The Innocents - Parallel stories set 40 years apart tell a staggering tale of political failures, media manipulation and espionage surrounding two Prime Ministers used by a foreign government in a decades-old war to suppress the rise of Sikhs in Canada, India and abroad.
Singhdale - Singhdale is a broad-based half-hour family comedy in the vein and tone of Ted Lasso, Citizen Khan, Parks and Recreation and Veep. It stars Deep Singh, a Sikh Father with aspirations of political life, who drags his family kicking and screaming, along for the ride, when he runs for a city council seat.

Bill Marks’ film career spans over two decades, and includes numerous writer, director (14 Days in paradise and Curse of the Iron Mask) and producer roles.
His producer credits include A Dark truth, starring Andy Garcia, Eva Langoria and Forest Whitaker; Compulsion, starring Heath Graham and Carrie-Anne Moss; Split Decision starring Brendan Fraser and Dominic Purcell; Swearnet, starring the Trailer Park Boys; Sidney J. Furie’s A Pride of Lions; horror film The Returned; and a Fighting Man, starring Diminic Purcell, James Caan, Famke Janssen and Lou Gossett Jr.
